Repeat Clients…The Best Compliment Ever!

I met Brittany and Derek back in 2007 when they were shopping for a photographer for their upcoming wedding in June of 2008. Fortunately for me, the meeting went well and they hired me. The wedding ceremony was at my very favorite chapel in Naples, Trinity by the Cove and the reception was held at the Port Royal Club, which is located just minutes from the charming white chapel. Guests lingered by the pool sipping on cocktails while I photographed the bridal party, family and the bride and groom, as the sun was setting in the background. There is nothing like a  Naples, Florida sunset.

Fast forward 11 years and Brittany and Derek have three beautiful children, William (7), Charlie (5) and Anna Brackett (3). Brittany and Derek currently reside in Charlotte, NC, but still have family here in the Naples area. When they return to Naples for family visits, they will book me to photograph their family portraits and I cannot begin to express how awesome that makes me feel. There little family has been such a blessing in my life and I love to see how much the kids have grown from year to year. They are more like family to me, than clients.

On the day of our photo session we had a cloudy day, but we went for it anyway and the photos turned out great. The lighting was super soft which allowed us to shoot earlier in the day, which was better for the kids. Lucky for us we stumbled across this amazing sandcastle shaped like a car. Each child climbed into the front seat of the car and smiled for the camera. LOL! There were so cute! Brittany brought a kite along to use as a prop and the kids had a blast running along the shoreline while flying their kite in the sky.

Over the summer I was contacted by Naples Lifestyle Magazine. They did a an interview with me and displayed some of my portrait photography.  Unbeknownst to me, they selected my image of William and Anna Brackett flying their kite down the beach for their magazine cover. What a nice surprise that was!

During our photo shoot Brittany informed me about a new business venture that she had recently launched, Dogwood Smocking Company. Brittany has always had AMAZING taste in clothing and now she is offering beautiful classic clothing for children. Every collection is thoughtfully designed in Charlotte, NC. Brittany’s inspiration is to provide traditional children’s clothing, with a touch of southern charm.

You must check out their Dogwood Collection, it is their classic line inspired by their beautiful hand painted logo. The Dogwood is North Carolina’s official state flower and is a powerful symbol that blooms at Easter and is said to represent the cross.
